Pura Vida in Costa Rica
Pura Vida in Costa Rica
The moment you walk through the door
your eyes are drawn to the expansive view
of the Pacific Ocean.
Located on Pacific Canyon Drive in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, the villa is a 2-1/2 hour drive from the San Jose airport. Arrangements can be made for an overland transfer through our concierge. The villa is equipped with all the amenities to ensure your comfort, allowing you to savor your surroundings. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance and a wide selection of activities that are conveniently close by.
Great Room & Lounge
There are many great restaurants within walking distance of the villa. But should you choose to dine in a more comfortable setting you'll find the kitchen to be fitted with all the appliances needed to prepare your own delectable meals. Or, you may want to arrange for a private chef to come in to prepare a sumptious feast.
The dining area is situated to take advantage of the view of the ocean and the cross breezes that pass through when the doors are open. The table seats eight comfortably and is positioned between the kitchen and the grilling area. It is also the best seat in the house to watch the traffic on the "monkey highway".
The great room is where you'll want to gather with family and friends after a day at the beach or out exploring your surroundings. Its open floor plan faces the ocean and offers a view that is both exhilarating and calming.
The pool is the first stop you'll make after your morning walk. The cool water is inviting and refreshing after a day in the sun. The chaise lounge is the place of choice for a siesta or to sit back, relax and take in that expansive ocean view.
Some consider this to be the best seat in the house! It is the perfect spot to gaze at the spectacular ocean view as you savor your morning coffee. Or let the sound of the birds chirping be your wake up call.
The Pool

The lounge is just a little bit removed from the great room while still being a part of that setting. It is an ideal location to sit and reflect, gather to play board and card games, have an intimate conversation or listen to the chatter of monkeys who stop by often so keep your eyes peeled!

Three species of monkeys, sloths, toucans, iguanas, macaws and aracaris often pass by providing plenty of photographic opportunities.
All photos and videos of wildlife were taken from or just steps away from the house.
In July of 2016 we added 67 solar panels to the roof of the house. We are doing our part to make Costa Rica carbon neutral.
